Corrosion Resistant Scales
Industrial applications often require a scale to be used with corrosive materials. They may be in cylinders, drums, tanks, pails or other containers. The materials that may need to be weighed include chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, alum, phosphates, and many others. Liquefied gases such as ammonia, chlorine, sulfur dioxide, chloride, carbon dioxide and hydrogen may also have to be measured. Spills and fumes from these types of chemicals can destroy regular scales.
Arlyn’s Corrosion Resistant Scales are constructed from rugged, welded stainless steel. A unique, three part epoxy coating is applied over the stainless steel which gives excellent chemical resistance. Garnet particles that are mixed with the epoxy give added resistance to scratching and abrasion. Even the load cells are fabricated from a special heat-treated stainless steel alloy. These features combine to provide years of trouble-free service.
As with all Arlyn scales, the very accurate digital indicator provides a large, graphical display for ease of use. A wide variety of communication options allow the scales to be connected to computer systems and other instrumentation by your choice of Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB, RS-232 or 4 – 20 ma. A special 8 level setpoint controller can be used for batching and automatic filling operations.
