What is a Chlorine Scale?
Often used for chemical feed, these scales typically weigh chlorine and sulfur dioxide in one-ton cylinders. They must be corrosion-resistant to endure this type of environment.
Similarly, your chlorine scale must be durable enough to withstand rough handling during tank loading. Finally, a durable, corrosion-resistant scale is only useful if it takes accurate measurements.
Manufactured to Maximize Durability
Most “Tonner” scales are constructed from welded steel with a powder coated finish. And in many cases, that is usually enough until the paint gets scratched, leaving an opening for corrosion to migrate under the coating.
Our Chlorine Ton Scales are constructed from stainless steel. This greatly reduces corrosion and provides longer, trouble-free life.
Designed for Unparalleled Accuracy
The industry standard for chlorine ton cylinder scales is to apply the weight to a single load cell through a pivot and lever system. This construction presents a number of problems.
First of all, this is an outdated weighing method that is susceptible to inaccuracies as the pivots wear. Additionally, any change in position of the tank alters the weight.
Instead, our Tonner Scales use four (4) heat-treated, abuse-resistant, stainless steel load cells. There are absolutely no pivots and levers to degrade over time.
Best of all, our scales offer nearly 5-times the accuracy of standard chlorine scales!
Versatile Connectivity & Output Options
A variety of optional outputs are available for seamless connectivity. For PLC, 4-20mA analog signals are an industry standard.
Other analog signals include 0-5V and 1-5V, though Modbus RTU, ASCII, or TCP are also available.
